4 going on 24

Today my Noonie made 4.. how time flies, and she's not even mine. I have been sooo blessed to be a part of this lil girls life since she was born and am so grateful for her. It has allowed me to become very close to her daddy and I love it!! We always have fun together. She is such a diva. Always wanting to wear my high heels, have her nails painted, and wear my make-up, and lip gloss. I ABSOLUTELY adore this lil girl, her funny laugh, her dancing and the way she makes everyone smile. Her being our "Bi-racial Baby" as she calls herself. I cant wait to see how much more she grows. LOVE YOU NOONIE!!!

THE DIVA

I was laughing so hard... she wouldnt let me leave!! how I love and miss this lil thing everytime she's away.!! (seeing as ive finally figured out how to post pictures---there will be a numerous amount later)

I had the best weekend!! Of course i got to spend it with NYA!! She got her fri, although I did have to work I came over on lunch as she demanded. Then had the nerve to get mad at me for not bringing Gucci-- MY B. Sat. night i had to work but was able to pick her up in the morning and took her with me to the nail shop to get our nails done. She was adamant she went first, and had to have every nail a different color. Good thing the girl who does my nails is my good friend and didnt mind- or even charge me for her. LSU unfortunately lost sat night to Florida= one of the biggest games of the season!! And on sunday dark and early, I braved the mini hurricane and went to tates to watch Nya for the day. I got the bad news when I got there that she was already up so no nap time for me- instead got her dressed did her hair and went to get Gucci. 'Cept Gucci was on punishment for using in his kennel. I told Nya he was on time out and she was very good about telling Gucci about not peeing in his kennel anymore so he doesnt have to be on time out.. LOL. Then I fell asleep and she took it upon herself to write all over my couch!! WOOPS good thing its a POS and I really didnt care. After that we went back home and she fell asleep in the car.. So I let her sleep and then we went to lunch with Bryan and his son Deante... Nya loved loved it.. All laughs the whole time.. And after some time Tate came home and it was time for my Noonie to go back by her momma (unfortunately) and this was what I left with....

Sadness..

For the first time in a long time (maybe for the 1st time ever) I am very sad that I dont get to watch conference.. Im sitting at work feeling terrible- ive already thrown up and just want to go home curl under a blanket and be with MY family. Sometimes living far away is not fun at all.

Liar liar- PANTS ON FIRE!

I happened upon a post on craigslist, stating that a dog was found in my area matching Balboa's description. So My co-worker emailed the man for me and we told him what the dog looked like. A 7 mo. old black lap/pit mix, big ears, white patch on his chest and a white patch on his back paw. The man said "that's exactly what he looks like, I HAVE YOUR DOG!" My heart jumped with joy. I was off work in a 1/2 hr and could get my dog. LIES LIES LIES!! I showed up at this mans house- NOT a patch of white on this 2 yr old black lab... the only thing that was the same was that he had a blue collar. I asked the man if he was joking and he simply stated "No, he fits the description perfectly" Oh really?? what part of 7 mo old PUPPY and WHITE PATCH do you not understand sir?? Needless to say it was not my Balboa. Luckily I had just purchased another dog the night before. A cute 5 mo old pitbull... by the name of GUCCI. Nya named him- first she wanted to name him "Princess" but, I had to explain to her that we couldnt name a boy dog princess.. So, I gave her some options, King, Gucci, Max (as his previous owners had named him, (but I didnt want max for that is my nephews name) She picked Gucci.. and oh so sadly stated.. " But, wheres is baloa (she cant say Balboa for some reason) I told her he ran away..She replied back "oh but, I just loved him so much." I thought she was gonna cry.. and I laughed. WOOPS. but, now she is just as "in love" with Gucci-- he spent the whole entire next day running from her while I watched her. Him scared of her..lol.

HE RAN AWAY

Im so so sad!!-- So about a month 1/2 ago I decided I wanted to adopt a dog, Ive always loved dogs and havent had one in a very long time. I did some searching on Craigslist and found the cutest black pit bull/ lab mix puppy. I contacted the humane society and was able to adopt him. We've been living in harmony ever since.. Hes my lil shadow and I call him Balboa.. He was named after Rocky Balboa, only because the day i got him he wouldnt do anything but lay on the floor. I was watching Dr. Doolittle and theres a scene when Eddie Murphy is running through a field with a bear and the song "Eye of the Tiger" came on. Balboa (who I was calling Shuge at the time) sat straight up and watched the t.v. til the song went off. So, I found it only fitting to call him Balboa from then on out. Well he's been a very good dog since I got him. He stays in his kennel all day while im at work and knows to wait to use it til he's outside. SO... I usually dont put him on a leash when I take him out to use it. I took him out this morning and was waiting for him to do his business. I leave the door open to my apt because as soon as he finishes he usually just runs right back in the apt. WELL TODAY HE THOUGHT IT'D BE FUN TO TAKE OFF!!! So I ran inside to tell my boyfriend to go out and get him seeing as I was still in my pajamas. Reluctantly he got up and went searching for him. I live right across the street from a high school and Bryan said that he saw the dog follow some kids into the school. When he went back to get him, he couldnt find him... I DONT KNOW WHERE HE IS and I HOPE HE COMES BACK HOME!!! My daddy says he will when he gets hungry but, I dont get off till 11 at night. So im praying he does. Bryan said he'd buy me a new dog but, I want MY dog... PRAY I GET HIM BACK... :(

SHES BACK

So my NOONIE has been gone for bout a month 1/2 now and NOW SHE'S BACK!! She'll be here wed or thurs im not exactly sure and we get to have a sleepover on fri. I AM SO EXCITED!! Ill post pictures of our weekend for real this time. AHHH I LOVE HER!!

So this weekend was the 4th of July and every year New Orleans has the Essence Festival this weekend. Its starts friday and ends sunday. Its just a weekend filled with music, and food, A MILLION people (seriously). Beyonce, Ne-yo, Keri Hilson... all these music superstars were in town! its really cool. We didnt actually go to Essence but we went to New Orleans sat for the fourth, ate at Red Lobster (how i love cheddar bay biscuits) and we went to Bourbon street. We were slightly lost trying to find Bourbon, and dont worry that we walked up and down Canal passing Bourbon 3 times trying to find it. I think the temp read 87 degrees, but im pretty sure it was 120!!! The second we stepped foot outside and started walking it was pure sweat!! But we had so much fun. I think my feet are stained black from walking with no shoes on. Of course i DID NOT walk on Bourbon without shoes.. just on Canal ( I dont know if anybody gets that but, Bourbon is DEEEE SGUSTING!!, not that Canal is really that much better) But, thats what i get for trying to look cute and wearing brand new shoes! DUMB ME. well thats all for now! The kids are in Memphis so my life is pretty boring without them. Theyll be back at the end of the month and Ill hopefully have learned by then how to post pictures.!!

LSU ALL THE WAY

So coolest thing EVER!!! I got to go work out on the LSU football field last night. It was amazing. The boy im dating his name is Tyson. He's a GA.. a.k.a Graduate Assistant and is working his way up to be a football coach. So he has access to EVERYTHING. Well he asked me if I wanted to work out last night.. Im slightly lazy so much to my dismay I told him yes. Thinking we were just going to be in a gym somewhere, with him kicking my butt to workout. Well I got to go instead to the coaches offices, then to the teams gym then to the field. UH-MAZE-ING!!! He was trying to get me to run laps round the field--- I think I may have died within the first 50 yds. But, it was really cool to be in there. No pictures, i dont think im allowed but, maybe ill sneak and get some.. then post them. :).. oh also.. my noonie comes today. we get to play all weekend and im taking her to the temple grounds to take pictures sun. So ill post more then. TTFN!!

WORST DAY EVER

So... as I was driving to work today my good ol' tire blew out.. Well see almost a year ago when Hurrican Gustav hit my car got a flat while i was parading around in the hurricane (bright i know) I took my car to the tire shop and they patched it but, i also noticed i had slashes in the tire. There were only 2 at first then they continued to expand and eventually there were about 6. So I just continued to put air in the tire everytime it went down and didnt decide to get a new one. Hey a new tire for my car is bout 150 dollars.. NO INDEED i refused to pay it. Well maybe I shouldve just went ahead and paid it cause today it BLEW OUT!! Luckily I was only a block away from my job. I had to ride on my rim :( to park the car, and walk to work in the blistering 90 degree weather with 1000% humidity i swear- SWEAT MUCH!!. But, heres the bad thing. I DONT have the thing to take the lugs off.. WOOPS. My brothers supposed to come change it so we'll see. As long as its done by 9 tonight, Ill be okay. But, maybe I shouldve just avoided this and spend the money for a new tire right?!?! LESSON LEARNED!!!

Soo.. my sisters informed me that it might be a nice idea to have a blog to keep them updated with pictures of the kids.. of course dont worry about me or your brother just worry about the children, i get it its okay.. WHERES THE LOVE!!! (he he). So I also concurred that it may be true and a good idea. So here I go.. Its just the start and im at work so no pictures yet but, i will post some ASAP!!
